It's finally beginning to feel a little bit like fall and I've started to put out a few things to celebrate the change of seasons.  I saw so many things I loved at Hobby Lobby, Target and the Dollar Tree that I had a hard time waiting for the weather to cool down before decorating for Autumn.

I bought a bag of pumpkin flavored coffee at Cost Plus World Market and lit my pumpkin spice candle, put on some jazzy music and got to working on my fall mantle.  I think my favorite thing this year are the little copper leave lights that I found in the Target bullseye bins for $3.00.

It seems every year there is something that stands out and makes decorating all the more fun.  Besides those little lights I love my new fall pillow (which I'll be sharing with you soon).  The pretty blue bird and the pumpkin really put me in the mood for snuggling on the sofa with my favorite cup of tea and a crochet project.

Now that the living room is finished I need to move on to the rest of the house.  I only do the dining room hutch and centerpiece for Halloween so that will probably be what I work on next.  The porch is going strictly fall this year and so is the rest of the dining room and the kitchen.

What about you?  Have you started your autumn decorating or will you wait a bit longer and enjoy every last second of summer?

Am I the only wishing fall weather would make an appearance or are there some of you feeling the cool crisp air outside and sad to see summer end?

I have been sneaking the fall decor ever so discretely in around the house hoping no one walking in from the sweltering heat here in Southern California calls me on it.

The temps have actually dropped 10 degrees or so but we are still facing a few weeks in the 80's and 90's and I figure if I wait for the weather to cooperate it may be time to bring out the Christmas tree before the first pumpkin graces my dining room hutch.

And so the centerpiece has been transitioned from summertime to autumn with the addition of a few ceramic pumpkins from the Dollar Tree, a pumpkin scented yankee candle and some fallish flowers from Trader Joe's.  Nothing over the top but a definite move in the direction of fall.

I have been busy as a bee with my YouTube channel and am having the time of my life sharing cleaning and organizing tips, a little bit of shopping and home decor and even a bit of food prep.  I feel like I have finally found my niche and would love to have you come on over and hit the subscribe button.

And just so you know I haven't totally gone all Autumn I thought I'd show you a picture of my dining room hutch in all it's color abandon glory.  Just don't look too closely as you might see a pumpkin lurking in the background!

I've attached a couple of my latest videos for your viewing pleasure.  Grab a cup of something pumpkin spice or a glass of sweet tea, depending on what you're willing weather wise and join me.
