With next weeks summer clothes series starting on Monday I am focusing my attention on warm
weather clothes and this adorable white cotton blouse from Old Navy certainly fits the bill.
The white ruffle sleeves, white on white embroidery and the delicate cut out detail across the upper bodice give it such a feminine look which I really love. I decided to pair down the sweetness with heavier accessories including a brown chunky necklace that I've had for years, brown leather sandals and a braided belt.
Since I opted to wear my flare jeans from Loft, I pulled out these cute Bandalino platform sandals (similar) to give my legs some length. I did a bit of a front tuck of the blouse so that the detail of my belt shows without fully tucking my shirt in all the way around. (The front tuck is a fun trend that's a bit forgiving around the waistline and who doesn't love that?)
I've purchased a few new things in the last couple of weeks and it seems I have a particular weakness for white cotton tops this year. I think I'm up to three right now and that's only because I took one back this morning. They are so cool and crisp looking plus they're super versatile. You will be seeing me style a few of these this summer, that's for sure.
I'm excited to share my summer clothes series with you next week and may even be brave enough to include a cute pair of shorts or two. With the whiteness of my legs right now, I make no promises at this point.
Now you'll just have to join me to find out. Ha!
I'll be back in the morning with a Shout Out Saturday post. Have a great weekend!
