I don't know if it's the amount of life that we feel we need to live on those two short days tucked
within our "work" week but sometimes my weekends can feel like more work then the real thing. I know the month of February was a short one but if the first week is any indication the month of March is the one moving at break neck speed. All that busyness must make the time fly by all the faster.
Before you know it the kids will be out of school and it will be time to start thinking about our summer bucket list in which we will fill those days with as many activities as we can lest the neighbors don't think we are busy enough or providing our kids with the right summer memories before heading back to school in the fall.
I think I'm going to go all rebel one of these days soon and just decide to do nothing. Maybe even keep the little ones home and make them figure out how to entertain themselves without leaving the house for a play date, amusement park, day at the beach, supervised bike ride or hike in the mountains and not feel one bit guilty about it. I'll ignore all those smiling faces of my friends doing all those seemingly fun family things on facebook. Heck, I might even forgo facebook for the weekend all together.
I might just steal a whole two days to myself tucked away in my craft studio and make the kids play with those toys they begged us for last Christmas. What do you think? Want to start a stay at home and do nothing revolution? Who's with me?
