While I was making my rounds in the garden this weekend, I hesitated at our first year peach tree admiring the beautiful, ripening fruit.
As I reached over to feel for softness, a nice big peach fell right into my waiting hand.
Could it be the wait is finally over? Has the taunting and teasing come to end?
I quickly grabbed a bucket and picked a dozen of these beauties to take inside and wash up.
Dare I say it?

Can you say, peach pie a la mode?
Here's to a week filled with fresh baked goodness.

I haven't found a good juicey peach in years. You're so blessed to be able to go right out in your yard and pick your own!
ReplyDeletePeach ala mode sounds so yummy!
How wonderful to be able to grow your own peaches like that! They look really juicy and delicious, and I love your photos with the embroidered cloth too. Have a happy week.

ReplyDeleteI wish we had fruit trees, we have bradford pears, but of course they only have pretty flowers, no fruit. Not even sure why they would call them pear trees if they don't produce fruit???? Lol have great day my sweet friend!

Wow they look great! I've had such problems growing any stone fruit and I live in Georgia - I should be able to grow peaches at least!

Yummy! Peach pie is my all time favorite pie! Rhubarb is still in season here and my grandaughte (who's 3) wanted to make a rhubarb cake yesterday. We forgot the baking powder.... so now have rhubarb bars instead of cake!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful peaches!!! I have been drooling for fresh peaches...We had a lovely peach orchard right next door to us and they bull dosed it down to build house and then the housing market crashed. No homes were build and no more peach orchard..very sad.
ReplyDeleteI will have to go to the fruit stand this weekend and buy some fresh hot off the tree peaches.
How fun to have your own tree...
Peach pie sounds delish....
Have a sweet day, Elizabeth

Your pictures are killing me! I buy a bag of fresh peaches every Saturday at the Farmer's Market but what I wouldn't give to have a tree in my own yard. I made peach blueberry crisp last week. Yum-o!
